A few weeks ago, I went duck hunting with Ross, Reid, and some close friends. If you’ve ever been hunting, you know it’s about more than just the hunt. That weekend, the ducks didn’t cooperate; however, the laughter, the stories, and the time together made it a great time.

Moments like that remind me that life’s most meaningful times are tied to relationships, connections, and the values we share. And that’s why I’m so excited to introduce something very special as we begin this new year.

During our Client Appreciation event last November, we were honored to have Blake Brewer share a deeply moving story about the letter he received from his father—one that changed his life. Blake’s father wrote this letter to him with love, wisdom, and life lessons that Blake carried with him long after his father passed. The letter became a cherished gift that shaped Blake’s life, and it continues to guide him to this day.

After hearing Blake’s story, a longtime client’s daughter came up to me with a powerful testimony of her own. She shared that her brother, Kevin, had written her a “legacy letter” the day she married, 29 years ago. Although Kevin passed away a few years ago, this letter, which she has carried in her purse every day for nearly three decades, remains one of her most precious possessions. There is no amount of money or material possessions she would trade for the words her brother spoke into her life on that day.

This story serves as a powerful reminder that the greatest gifts we can give to our loved ones are not always material—they’re the words that reflect our hearts, our values, and the life lessons we’ve learned along the way. While we love the opportunity to help our clients do well financially and pass along a financial legacy to the next generation, I am tremendously excited to offer you an opportunity to give your loved ones something NOW that is even more valuable and impactful than any money or material possession could ever bring.

Inspired by Blake Brewer’s heartfelt story, we’ve partnered with him to help our clients (at no cost to them) write their own Legacy Letter—a letter filled with love, wisdom, and life lessons that they can share with the people they care about most.
